# Enhancement System

By burning GST, GMT, and 5 lower-quality Sneakers, users can either get a higher Quality Sneaker, or a Rainbow Sneaker.

The enhancement results in a Sneaker with attributes that are 20% higher than its original min/max parameters.

Skin Retention Rules During Enhancement:

1. **STEPN x MOOAR and STEPN x adidas skins will always be kept first**, regardless what other permanent skins are present, even if there is an event going on.
2. **Event skins will then take priority**, if there’s an ongoing event.
3. If point 1 and 2 are not present, then **the Permanent Skin of the lowest sneaker ID** will be prioritized above all Permanent Skins.
4. If there are no permanent skins used in the enhancement, a random skin will be selected.

**Special Chances:**

* There is a small chance for the enhanced Sneaker to increase by two quality levels (e.g., upgrading 5 Common Sneakers has a chance to result in 1 Rare Sneaker). However as of March 2026, there is no chance to upgrade from Rare to Legendary.
* There is also a small chance for the enhanced Sneaker to become a Rainbow Sneaker.
* The amount of Sneaker Types present during Enhancement will influence the resulting Sneaker Type. Example: Using 4x Walker and 1x Jogger Sneakers, the chance of obtaining a Walker is 80%, and a Jogger is 20%.

**NOTES:**

* If you enhance with the “Rainbow Toggle” SWITCHED ON, and you are using Permanent Skins, and the Enhancement produces a Rainbow Sneaker, you will lose your Permanent Skin.
* If you enhance with the “Rainbow Toggle” SWITCHED ON, and you are using two or more Genesis Sneakers, you will lose all Genesis Sneakers except one, as the Enhancement will only apply the skin and keep the ID of the lowest Sneaker ID.
* **Currently, you can only enhance Epic Sneakers into Legendary if at least ONE Sneaker among them is a Genesis.**
