Shoe-Minting

Shoe Minting (a.k.a. “Minting”) allows you to create a new Sneaker by “breeding” two Parent Sneakers, resulting in a Shoebox. Parent Sneakers need to be at least level 5, and can only be used for Minting if they have full Durability.

To Mint, go to your Inventory and tap a sneaker, then tap the heart icon below it. Choose another Parent Sneaker, and (if all conditions are met), you can tap the “Mint” button. A Shoebox is instantly received and can be opened right away.

Each STEPN Classic Sneaker can be used as a Parent Sneaker up to 7 times, with the cost increasing for each additional Mint count. Costs are calculated individually per Parent Sneaker, and the costs are combined for the final Minting cost.

Minting has a 48-hour minting cooldown (they temporarily cannot be used for another minting), but can still be used for movement.

The first 2 out of 7 Mint counts will have the same cost.

There is a chance to get a double mint (two Shoeboxes) from a single Mint. The higher the Mint Count of the Parent Sneakers, the higher the chance for double minting.

The mint’s resulting Shoebox quality is influenced by both Parents’ Sneaker quality.
