GMT Earning Basic
In STEPN, users are equipped with NFT Sneakers to earn tokens by moving. Users can earn both GST and GMT, depending on their strategy.

GMT Earnings depend on several factors:
Sneaker Type: Base GMT earnings can be affected by whether you are moving at the Optimal Speed of your Walker/Jogger/Runner/Trainer sneaker. Falling below or above your Sneaker Type’s Optimal Speed reduces earnings by up to 90%, depending on the speed deviation. Refer to the Sneaker Type section for more information about each Sneaker Type.
Sneaker’s Comfort Attribute - Higher Comfort Attributes generally means higher GMT earnings per minute. From Level 0 to Level 29, users can ONLY earn GST. At Level 30, users can freely switch between GST and GMT earning.
SMAC validity: A run that has been tagged by SMAC as human will keep its earnings, but a bot, vehicle, multi-device, etc. --tagged run may lose its GMT earnings. See our Anti-Cheating section for more information.
Number of live GMT earners moving at the same time. This is discussed at length in the GMT Earning Mechanics section.
Once Energy depletes, GMT earning stops, though users can continue with their run session even without energy (and without earnings). Users can exit their session by tapping the “Pause” button, then hold down the “Stop” button for 5 seconds.
